Signs Your RV A/C Needs Service

If you’re noticing any of the issues below, your RV cooling system may need attention before your next trip.

  • Dash A/C blowing warm or barely cool air
  • Weak airflow from dash vents
  • A/C starts cool but fades while driving
  • Roof A/C turns on but doesn't cool well
  • Roof A/C short cycles or shuts off unexpectedly
  • RV takes too long to cool down
  • Unusual noises from the A/C system
  • Cooling issues after storage
  • Electrical or voltage-related A/C issues
  • A/C not keeping up in Texas heat

Waiting usually doesn’t make the repair easier. Cooling issues can come from A/C components, electrical problems, low voltage, airflow restrictions, worn parts, or larger system concerns.

Not A Vague Look-Over

What the Package Covers

Dash A/C Diagnostic

Keeps the driver and passenger area comfortable while traveling. Includes up to 2 hours of dash A/C diagnostic labor to identify performance issues and determine what may be needed next.

Roof A/C Operation Check

Keeps the living area cool when parked or on shore power. A roof unit may turn on but still fail to cool properly — we check whether the system is performing as expected. A failed rooftop gasket is also a common source of water intrusion — if yours is leaking, ask about roof leak and resealing.

Basic Charging Voltage Check

Batteries, alternators, charging output, wiring, and voltage all affect cooling. This check helps identify obvious voltage-related concerns that may affect reliability.

Cooling Performance Review

After checking the key areas, our team provides clear recommendations if additional work is needed — a real next step instead of leaving you guessing.

The Drive And The Destination

Dash A/C vs. Roof A/C: Why Both Matter

AdobeStock 1968769469 Preview

Dash A/C — The Drive

Helps keep the driver and passenger area cool while driving. If this system is weak, the trip itself becomes uncomfortable — warm air, lost cooling at idle, and poor airflow.

Roof A/C — The Destination

Helps cool the living space when parked. If it’s struggling, sleeping, cooking, relaxing, and camping all get uncomfortable fast. We check both sides of the cooling experience. Not sure yet whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense? Here’s how to tell.

Don’t Wait Until You’re Already on the Road

RV A/C problems show up at the worst possible time. During peak heat, repair demand rises quickly — get your cooling system checked before your trip.
